Blassst from the Passst

Walks/runs I've done for charities/others:

This weekend was the second inaugural SIGHT NIGHT fun run/walk after dark. This is an event to raise awareness and funds for ASRAB (Alberta Sport and Recreation for the Blind) http://www.asrab.ab.ca/home.html

I've always enjoyed sports and the art of sport so i think it is a wonderful cause! Everyone should be able to participate in sport if they want to and find joy from it. This year i participated in the 3km walk, last year i did the 8km run. SHOCKING eh? It is in November. November is bitter frickin' cold. That run seemed to never end, but i drew strength knowing i had raised over $250 dollars and how beneficial those dollars would be for the individuals using them. Ask me more about this one: my first run ever! haha!

I also wanted to document and remember the first walk i did which was for breast cancer. I walked in honour of a very special woman who continues to touch the lives of others around her, who also had breast cancer and lived through the hard journey of fighting it. (A former boyfriends mom). She was such a light in my life and i walked and gave money to support the cause, and her...

Also, i cannot forget about the life without limits challenge: My dad and I did a 5km walk. Money benefiting individuals with CP (Cerebral Palsy). One of our dear family friends has CP, and many children i currently serve as well. It was a great fun to walk outside, chat, have food with the community to support another great cause!

I truly believe all people deserve to have the best quality of life :) and i'm happy to be a vessel to support causes. i learn so much from others, and about myself.

Pictures to hopefully come! :)
Love,
Aimee
